History

There is no exact date as to when the concept of First Aiders organization have started in the school. But, as suggested by the earliest record available dated 2005, the organization was originally named "Pharamedics".

The aim of the organization is to address the growing population of the school wherein only one (1) school nurse is employed.

In February 14, 2007, Nurse Jesette Sebedo together with the Pharamedics officers, passed a resolution changing the name of the organization to "Mount Carmel College - Rescue Team" or simply called MCC - RT as a newly constituted organization with Susan L. Sabillo as the First President.

THE DARK TIMES

Like other organizations, MCC - RT also experienced dark times. There are some school years wherein, the organization almost ceases to continue because of inactive members, fewer recruits and minimal formal system and operating procedures from S.Y. 2009 up to the early months of S.Y. 2013.

THE RENAISSANCE

2014 marks a new life to MCC - Rescue Team. It was the time when Nurse Angelo M. Sevilleno was installed as school nurse and adviser of the team.

During his first year, major changes happened in the organization. With the help of the officers headed by Ms. Merlie R. Deita, members were disciplined, inactive members were removed from the master list, a Constitution and By - Laws for the organization was made. Formal recruitment and training for newly hired members were strengthened. It was during this time that the organization has its official logo conceptualized by Nurse Angelo with the help of Mr. Julius Ceasar C. Dejoras, the artist of the team. The logo bears the name of the school and organization and the motto "Para Server a Dios y a Usted" (For God's Service and You).

In February 21, 2015, before the school year ends, MCC - RT received an award of recognition as one of the most active organizations of Mount Carmel College.

The next school year 2015, was still a good year for the team. New equipment needed for the rescue and first aid operations were purchased using the organization's own money with the support of the officers headed by Mr. Mark Lester S. Andales.

THE LEVEL UP

November 30, 2016 marked another milestone of the team as it embarked the Leadership and Management Workshop with Mr. Gerry Kim Olmedo as the Trainer/Facilitator. The program aims to empower the members in Parliamentary Procedures and Action and Project Planning and other clerical works that the members needs to master. The Workshop commenced November 30, 2017.

On February 21, 2018, under the leadership of Ms. Rhealyn U. Buenavista as President and Mr. Ar-Jay D. Belonio as Chairman of the Board, MCC - Rescue Team received another 2 recognition from the school as one of the active organizations and Nurse Angelo m. Sevilleno as the Outstanding Organizational Adviser for S.Y. 2017 - 2018 given by the Supreme Student Government.

Today, the organization is standing firm with its commitment to serve the MCCEI community with excellence and integrity with its members and supportive MCC - RT Alumni Association, continuously serving God and the people by Keeping the ORANGE FLAME BURNING as the unspoken language of all of its members in their hearts.
